Job description

About us:

ASAL Technologies was established in the year 2000 and has since grown to become the foremost Technology Company across Jordan, UAE, and Palestine. With a workforce of over 450 engineers, ASAL offers an extensive variety of services in the field of software development and collaborates with more than 40 international clients. ASAL Technologies is the destination for high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective software development, data engineering, and R&D services. The name ASAL is derived from the Arabic word for ‘Honey’ symbolizing the dedication of our engineers, who operate as hard-working bees, they consistently deliver exceptional results for our clients and become a technical arm to their R&D teams.

About the Role:

We are looking for Product Validation (PV) Engineers to help ensure our product works the way real customers use it: across releases, interfaces, configurations, and customer-like environments. This role sits at the final layer of

customer readiness.

You will validate end-to-end workflows, reproduce and verify customer issues, and provide evidence that gives the team confidence to ship.

Why this role matters: Unit tests and quality benchmarks are necessary, but they do not always prove the product will work in a real customer environment. PV closes that gap by validating the complete product experience before release.

What you will do

  • Run system-level and end-to-end validation for release candidates and shipped features.

  • Validate user-facing workflows across TUI/CLI commands, VS Code extension behavior, webviews, settings, sessions, and customer-facing flows.

  • Execute regression coverage across supported operating systems, terminal types, IDE versions, deployment modes, network setups, and model backends.

  • Reproduce, triage, document, and verify closure of customer-reported defects.

  • Help build and maintain internal customer-representative validation environments in collaboration with Application Engineering teams.

  • Track validation results, gaps, risks, and release-blocking issues with clear evidence.

  • Improve validation procedures and automate repeatable checks where automation is cost-effective and reliable.

What you will validate

  • End-to-end product workflows and feature behavior against specification.

  • TUI/CLI flows, command behavior, terminal compatibility, and error handling.

  • VS Code extension installation, activation, commands, panels, settings, and user flows.

  • Web UI and webview rendering, interactions, session handling, and state behavior.

  • Cloud and on-prem deployment configurations, including authentication, licensing, proxies, networking, and backend connectivity.

  • Functional parity across supported model backends such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini.

  • execution, pre-sales validation, or deployment ownership; that belongs to Application Engineering.

Job requirements

  • 3-7+ years of experience in software QA, systems validation, platform engineering, product validation, or a related role

  • Hands-on experience validating complex software across multiple environments, configurations, and integrations.

  • Ability to debug issues that cross product behavior, infrastructure, networking, authentication, IDEs, CLI/TUI, and UI workflows.

  • Strong written communication, including precise bug reports, reproduction steps, test evidence, and release-readiness notes.

  • Comfort working closely with Engineering, QA/Test, Evaluation, and customer-facing teams.

  • Practical judgment on when automation is valuable and when manual validation is required for high-risk workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with developer tools, infrastructure tools, EDA tools, or AI/ML-backed products.

  • Experience with VS Code extensions, terminal workflows, cloud/on-prem deployments, proxies, licensing, or authentication systems.

  • Exposure to customer-replica environments, large configuration matrices, or enterprise release validation.

  • Scripting experience for validation automation, log analysis, or environment setup.
