Job description

Work Arrangement: Remote or from any ASAL office

With a workforce of over 450 engineers, ASAL offers a wide range of AI agents, services and products, Software and Digital Transformation services, Engineering and R&D services. ASAL Technologies is a destination for high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective technology services and products.

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Product Manager to help build new cybersecurity solutions from validated market need to a secure, scalable, and commercially successful product.

This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, product strategy, and business. As one of the first product hires, you will work closely with the founders, design partners, and early customers — CISOs, security engineers, and SOC teams — alongside engineering and go-to-market partners, turning real security challenges into a differentiated product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision and strategic direction by identifying high-value cybersecurity problems, target customers, and market opportunities.

  • Lead customer discovery with CISOs, security engineers, and SOC teams, translating their real workflows, threats, and early-adopter feedback into clear product priorities.

  • Track the cybersecurity landscape, including buyer needs, market trends, competitors, emerging technologies, and evolving threats.

  • Own the product roadmap and MVP definition, converting business and customer needs into clear, actionable product requirements.

  • Partner with engineering and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly products through rapid prototyping and iterative development.

  • Ensure the product fits the modern security stack, integrating cleanly with SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, identity, and cloud platforms, and holding a high bar for security and reliability.

  • Shape go-to-market plans, including positioning, target segments, pricing, pilot programs, and strategic partnerships.

  • Define success metrics, monitor adoption and product performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, expansion, and new offerings

Job requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years in cybersecurity, product management, security engineering, security consulting, or a related field.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Product Management: Strong grasp of product strategy, customer discovery, roadmap development, MVP definition, prioritization, and product lifecycle management.

  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Solid grasp of the security landscape — the threat and attacker environment, security operations, the CISO buying motion, and where compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) shape requirements.

  • Technical Depth: Enough technical fluency — security architecture, APIs, integrations, data flows — to earn credibility with security engineers and make sound product trade-offs.

  • Market & Commercial Orientation: Ability to assess market opportunities and contribute to positioning, pricing, commercialization, pilot programs, and partnerships.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent presentation and stakeholder-management skills, with strong written and verbal English.

  • Startup Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and owning outcomes end-to-end in an early-stage environment.

Extra Credit

  • A relevant cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, Security+, or equivalent.

  • Hands-on experience taking a new security product or platform from concept to market.

  • Experience at an early-stage security startup, or shipping a product used day-to-day by SOC or security-engineering teams.
